SBA Communications Corporationis a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure. It owns & operates towers in Central America, S.America, Canada & S. Africa. The company elected to qualify as a REIT for tax purposes. It generates revenues from two primary businesses, site leasing and site development services. The primary focus of the company is the leasing of antenna space on its multi-tenant towers to a variety of wireless service providers under long-term lease contracts. Through Site Leasing business, the company leases antenna space and other structures on their multi-tenant towers to a variety of wireless service providers under long-term lease contracts. Site Development segment provides wireless service providers and operators assistance in developing their own networks through site acquisition, zoning, construction and equipment installation.
